Terms of Service
Last updated 20 June 2026
This document is written in plain English as general information. It is not legal advice. We recommend having it reviewed by a qualified lawyer before you rely on it.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Pacto (the "Service"), a relationship management tool. The Service is operated by Augustina Adjei ("we", "us", "our"), based in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using Pacto you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide about yourself is accurate.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you must not use it to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, send spam or unsolicited messages, upload harmful code, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or scrape or harvest data at scale.
4. Contact data you store
Pacto lets you save details about people you meet. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the information you add. When you store another person's personal details, you confirm that you have a lawful basis to do so and that you will handle their information responsibly. You must respond to any reasonable request from a person you have saved to access, correct or delete their details, and you will delete a person's details if they ask you to.
5. Your public card
The Service includes an optional public card that you can share via a link or QR code. Anything you publish on your card, and any link you share, is public — please only include information you are happy for anyone to see. You can hide your card at any time from your account.
6. Intellectual property
We own the Service and its content, branding and software. You keep ownership of the content you add. You grant us the limited rights we need to host and operate the Service for you.
7. Service provided “as is”
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important data, including by using the export feature in your settings.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or if we need to for legal, security or operational reasons.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the European Economic Area. If you are in the United Kingdom, UK law and the UK GDPR also apply to you. Disputes will be handled by the courts that have jurisdiction where you live, to the extent required by applicable consumer law.
12. Contact
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us.
